Words (#sol25 Day 14/31)

I love words.

For a human who can get quite tongue-tied when speaking (heck, even when thinking!), the written word holds what I find to be a level of security and inspiration.

I love that there are only 26 letters in the English alphabet and yet there exist countless opportunities to orchestrate connections for our brains and our hearts.

These jigsaw puzzles of graphemes have great power. They have the power to build and they have the power to destroy. They have the power to elevate and they have the power to sink. They have the power to soothe and they have the power to cut. They have the power to create swirling tummy butterflies and they have the power to create swirling tearful confusion.

Chaotic and meaningful. Whimsical and professional. Familiar and anxious.

I love it when a word or a phrase catches my eye when I’m reading. I have lists of these collections littered around my life – on my phone, on my desk, in highlighted passages, on scrap paper bookmarks, and even in art.

How did that human choose to put those words together in that precise way at that precise spot for their precise purpose?

How did that human know just what to say?

How can I get there?

See ya tomorrow. šŸ“
