No. (#solTuesday)

We’re off on our Spring Outdoor Ed trip to spend two nights and three days outside with the small fry, but before I lose service I wanted to share this week’s laugh-inducing interaction from our classroom:

Reading specialist: Hi there, can I come read with you?

First grader: No.

Reading specialist: Oh! Why not?

First grader: Because I’m in the middle of my fake reading (he says solemnly, flipping through a book that’s way above his level).

Honesty really is the best policy!
