My words are gone (#sol24 Day 13/31)

I’m tired.

My brain has left the building before the end of my contract day.

Since I am left holding nothing inspirational to share with the slicing community today, I’ll leave my daily literary smiles in the hands of the experts, aka My Students…

Here’s one:

See that? It’s a whale shark. Yep. They’re the vacuum of the ocean.

First grader

Here’s another:

Mangroves?! They should have called it womangroves because men get all the glory.

Second grader

One more:

A family friend is coming into town. She’s getting married. Her first time.

First grader

Okie doke. Bye. See you tomorrow.

  1. The fact you took time to notice and note what kids are saying earns you full credit for what you set up as a ‘half-credit’ post. LOVE the whale shark vacuum comment. So good.

  2. I love the comments of your students! Kids do say the funniest things, and it is rejuvenating for teachers to slow down and appreciate their words! We got to be rejuvenated-by-proxy through your slice today. Thank you.
