Made it.
Brain of mush, body of lead, and heart of sieve, but made it.
As I pause here before planning how to reground and refuel myself over the next week of Spring Break, I’ll leave the inspiration for today’s post to a rock.
Yep, a rock.
This rock, in fact, that was just chilling outside the classroom door this afternoon, just waiting to tell me what to do:

Who knew a rock could be so wise?
For me, right now, being brave looks like being honest and slowing down and taking care of myself. So that’s what I’m going to do.
Because the rock told me to.
See ya tomorrow. 📝
PS: I suppose there’s a whole other side of this slice that could also include the supportive words on my shoes. Yes, if you squint hard enough, you’ll be able to tell that each little bird is saying, “Oh my god, what the f*#!” – because of COURSE they are. 😊🐥🌸
Listen to that rock–and to your shoes too, and of course, to your body. Wishing you a rejuvenating, restorative spring break. I get to wait another week for mine!

That rock is very smart! You have to do it now – take care of yourself because that rock was chillin’ right were you would see it. Serendipity.

I remember walking the neighborhood through Covid- it was the painted rocks that gave me hope and kept me in balance.
Enjoy Spring Break, you deserve it!
