Can I Scan You? (#solTuesday)

A few days ago, I was approached by a first grader:

“Kristina?”

“Hey, buddy! How’s it going?”

“Um, can I scan you?”

*pause*

*my eyebrows raise*

“Sure! Go for it.”

He puts his hands out in front of his face, palms out, thumb tips touching, like he’s framing a shot for a scene. His hands stay in front of his eyes as he “scans” me from toe to head and back down again.

“Deedeedeedeedeedeedeedeedee…”

“Yup,” he says.

“100% happy.”
