Scene: I am walking back from the copy machine, in the afternoon, after a full day of being with our first graders. One said first grader passes me in the Central Area, on her way to the bathroom.

First Grader: Kristina!!!!! Why are you DRESSED like that?!

Me: Darlin’, I’ve been wearing this all day. It’s just been under my sweatshirt and my jacket ’cause it was cold earlier.

First Grader: Ohhhh! That’s where it was hiding!
