What’s Next?! (Day 20/31 #sol22)

First it was the NYT daily crossword. Well, perhaps I should be more specific. First, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and some Sundays it was the NYT daily crossword. Your gal ain’t touching the Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays.

Then Wordle came to light. How fun is that?! Everyday, just one little engaging brain break that also connects you in subsequent conversations with your wordle-ing friends.

But then I found out about Worldle. Yep. The world. This geographically challenging daily puzzle still gives six guesses and it directs you with clues of cardinal direction and distance. Kinda like a “you’re getting warmer” clue. Also fun.

And THEN I learned about global-game.com, which also lives in the geography realm but with way less hints. The countries you guess turn darker red the closer you are to the Mystery Country Of The Day, but there’s no limit on guesses if you can’t figure it out and just want it to tell you the damn answer. Yes, there is some serious cheating with this one. But I consider this cheating to be educational. I had no idea how many tiny island countries were hiding out there.

But wait. That’s not all.

Apparently if wordle is too easy for you, you can do the dordle thing and solve two wordles simultaneously. This one is a massive brain shift and I’m still trying to get used to the approach.

Word on the street is that there’s even a quad version if your brain needs that much stimulation. Good on ya if that category pertains to you. I’ve met my limit of daily brain check-in games.
