“Want to go for a walk when you get home?”
That’s what Mike texted me when I let him know I was done with the day (holy hell – oh so very done!) and packing up. I didn’t know it until that very moment but it was the exact question I needed to hear.
What makes a perfect end-of-day question? Well. Let’s see. For me, especially today, it should contain…
- Minimal decision-making demands
- Evidence of working empathy muscles
- Zero judgement on any possible answer – every answer could be the right answer
- The option of low-stress fresh air-ing
Check, check, check, and check!
We’re heading out to the bike path to let the evening breeze whoosh this day away.
❤️
Sounds marvelous!
My fave end-of-day question from Sam is “Can I make dinner for you??”
Yes, please….
