Here’s Me, Today (#sol23 Day 21/31)

According to this particular Tuesday, March 21st, 2023, here are two lists of things to know about me.

Ahem…

THINGS I LIKE:

• My pink overalls
• My cup warmer on my desk
• In-person IEP meetings
• Working printer
• Essential oil diffuser
• My spinner ring
• My socks with naughty words on them, hidden sneakily away in my boots
• Reading my students’ published fiction stories
• Brainstorming ways to support teacher wellness at school and in our community
• The head rubbing part of a haircut

THINGS I DO NOT CARE FOR:

• Students yelling and pointing at each other
• No snow when I thought it would be snowing all day long
• Only having one diffuser when we really have two distinct rooms that are equally filled with farts and germs
• When someone refers to you and your coworkers as “them” or “they” when you’re right there in the same meeting
• The smell of our cubby room
• Kids instantly and habitually blaming or deflecting instead of taking responsibility for their part

So there you have it. Those are my lists for today. They are certainly different from yesterday’s lists and I am sure that they will change again tomorrow because, well, that’s the beauty of being an incredibly tired and not so patient teacher human.
