Ahem.
Skiing six feet away feels like Iām solo.
Checking in on my friends with Marco Polo.
Feeling surprised by the smiles Zoom can bring.
These are a few of my COVID-y things.
Skinning and wondering where the warm wax is.
Discovering new books and doing my taxes.
At home, ignoring the phone when it rings.
These are a few of my COVID-y thiiiiiiiiiiiiiings…
When I canāt hug,
When my schoolās closed,
When Iām feeling sad,
I simply remember my COVID-y things,
And then I donāt feeeeeeeeeel
So bad.

HA! Love it. Keep singing, it keeps the COVID away*.

This is wonderful, and to the tune of one of my favorite songs! Great job! I especially love the last part, “When I can’t hug…” I’m already singing it! š

I definitely sang the song as I read it. I like the way you wrote this with a splash of humor.
